Harvest Festival

Each year our Harvest Festival supports Routes to Roots, a local charity helping homeless people in Poole. Instead of bringing in fruit and vegetables, our families arrive with bags of toiletries, tooth brushes, tinned food and hats, scarves and gloves. At our Harvest service we reminded the children how lucky they are to have homes, families to care for them, food, warmth, beds and clothes. We tried to imagine what it must be like sleeping on the streets. We talked about what the charity offers homeless people - not only a hot meal and somewhere to wash but help to get back on their feet in many ways. Thank you to all the families in our school community that made such generous donations.
