Colville Visit

On June 21st, our friends from Colville School in London arrived. We had lunch and a short getting to know you session outside and then went by coach to Studland to spend the afternoon at Shell Bay beach. We had a great afternoon paddling, wandering along the beach, digging and making sandcastles, collecting shells and playing ball games. Eventually, we got 76 very damp, sandy children onto the chain ferry to get over to sandbanks to meet our coaches. Once we had returned to school, were all very ready for our fish and chips followed by cakes donated by the Y4 parents. Our children went home at 6.30pm leaving the visitors to enjoy playing outside on our field. This was quite a novelty to them as their own outdoor area is smaller than our playground and they have no grass. Eventually, they settled down for the night in the hall. After breakfast the next day we all went out and about at BytheWay. Back at school, there were games and dancing on the field before the visitors got on the coach to return to London. They thoroughly enjoyed the visit as did our children.
